Registered Nurse; RN - ED - Emergency Department

Position Overview

Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department (ED) at Memorial Shiloh Emergency Department, Mount Vernon, Illinois. Staff position, ongoing, full‑time nights.

• Promote patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
• Educate patients and families on illness management, post‑treatment care, and medication administration.
• Participate in patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance activities; engage in professional development.
• Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans collaboratively with the interprofessional team, patients, families, or caregivers.
• Ensure communication of the care plan across the continuum of care.
• Use critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs; assess patient preferences and barriers to care, including values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population‑specific needs.
• Maintain constant state of alertness as a safety‑sensitive position; perform work in a safe manner.

• Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree in Nursing.
• Active RN license.
• No prior experience required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Current ED/ER RN experience.
