Job SummaryPre‑licensure graduate of an accredited nursing program who actively participates in the SSM Health New Graduate Nurse Residency Program. Under the direction of an RN, provides care to patients within scope of role and professional standards. Responsible for the delivery of age‑appropriate care for assigned patients with a wide variety of medical conditions.

- Eligibility:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program;
Eligible to practice as determined by State Board of Nursing;
Less than one year of experience working as an RN.
Pay Range: $31.21 - $49.94 per hour. Pay Rate Type:
Hourly.
- Perform tasks delegated by the RN preceptor based on demonstrated competence in nursing care activities.
- Delegate specialized tasks for which training was received in an approved nursing program (tasks that must be performed by a licensed nurse are excluded in Oklahoma).
- Perform patient assessments, including biophysical, psychosocial, spiritual, cultural, and age‑appropriate needs; assess nutrition, pain management; identify signs of abuse or neglect.
- Develop and implement a realistic, comprehensive patient family education plan using appropriate resources and methods.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Monitor and evaluate nursing care delivered by team members based on patient needs and professional judgment.
- Collaborate with physicians and other health‑care professionals regarding all aspects of patient care.
- Participate in training to understand and perform patient care.
- Complete competency requirements and training as required; seek assistance and ask questions as needed.
- Adhere to professional nursing standards and the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses.
- Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing.
- No experience required.
- Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS HCP) – American Heart Association (AHA)
- Within 90 days:

Registered Professional Nurse (RN) – Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) - Official NCLEX Pass Letter – Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- For Missouri and Oklahoma: NCLEX results for Registered Nurses submitted within three months of graduation and NCLEX test date within 30 days – Pearson VUE.
- For Wisconsin: NCLEX results for Registered Nurses submitted within three months of graduation and NCLEX test date within 30 days – Pearson VUE, and Wisconsin Nursing Temporary Permit.
