Maintenance Technician

SUMMARY:

As a member of the Facilities department, you would be responsible for assisting in inspection, maintaining, and repairing all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure optimal operating results of facilities. The prospective employee should have a solid work ethic that is proven through their resume and references. Must be a team player and should be self-motivated to maintain production standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

This person should be punctual and extremely detail oriented.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Assist the Facilities Manager with facility operations

* Assist with installation, maintenance, repair, and construction work in the basic building maintenance trades, such as carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, locksmith and mechanics

* Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs, or other drainage problems

* Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the building

* Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, for example window, wall, door, or roof repair

* Maintaining the building HVAC equipment to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly

* Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries

* Painting the building when old paint has become faded or chipped

* Assist with office moves and scheduling of all maintenance requirements to include HVAC filters, grow lights, and all things mechanical.

* Will assist with the upkeep of the building, grow rooms, irrigation systems and grounds.

* Knowledge of and compliance with state and federal occupational safety and hazard regulations for the maintenance, repair, and operation of buildings grow rooms, irrigation systems and grounds of the facility

* Assist with cultivation tasks when necessary

* Always follows good manufacturing procedures

* Additional duties as assigned

* Note:

Facility mechanical, electrical, and plumbing failures can occur at any time which requires some off-hours and weekend availability for emergency situations.

EDUCATION/

EXPERIENCE:

* High School diploma or Equivalent

* Must have a basic understanding of facilities and how to use basic tools

* Cannabis industry knowledge desired

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND

WORKING CONDITIONS:

* Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and push/pull up to 100 lbs.

* Ability to perform the following physical tasks:
Periods of prolonged sitting and standing, stooping, stretching, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, performing repetitive motions, and carrying boxes.

* Must be comfortable working at heights and on ladders
