MCR Coordinator

Job Description

Under the assigned supervisor, the Mobile Crisis Response Coordinator provides high-level coordination of assigned activities that will assist in achieving program and/or agency goals. This position collaborates with the crisis supervisor and coordinator team regarding statistical reporting assistance and managing internal and external data entry points. The coordinator also helps ensure 24‑hour crisis coverage, including filling coverage gaps when necessary.

• Works with crisis supervisors and other staff across departments to coordinate joint service delivery.
• Consults with crisis supervisors and the coordinator team to determine program needs and establish implementation plans.
• Supports crisis specialists in multiple crisis programs.
• Maintains frequent communication with crisis supervisors and coordinators to ensure consistency in expectations.
• Manages constructive relationships between day and night crisis teams to improve program effectiveness.
• Facilitates routine reviews of client records, ensuring record‑keeping procedures are implemented and consistent.
• Maintains communication with the crisis team, both day and evening shifts, to ensure connectivity and positive team culture.
• Participates in and co‑leads staff meetings, including agenda development and meeting guidance.
• Coordinates and promotes community linkage and relationship development.
• Coordinates and implements program‑specific trainings, as needed and as agreed with the crisis supervisor and coordinator team.
• May transport clients (youth or adult) to immediate crisis‑determined resources (e.g., shelter, treatment).
• Provides clinical and programmatic support to staff during shift and coordinates with supervisor as needed.
• Occasional travel may be required due to programming in several counties in Southern Illinois and Lake County in Northern Illinois.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree required; master’s degree preferred.
• 1–2 years of related experience.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record with coverage required for auto insurance.

• Proficient computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment and ability to adapt to new software applications.
• Excellent organizational skills, including setting priorities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
• Team‑oriented; works well across multiple departments and staff.
• Ability to exercise discretion and ensure confidentiality.
