Class A CDL Driver – Maquoketa $2,500 Sign-On Bonus
We re bringing on Class A CDL drivers for a driver-unload route based out of Maquoketa. This one s 100% hands-on, freight comes off box-by-box via rollers, so you ll want to be comfortable with physical work and different weather conditions on the dock.
Route basics:
- Delivers to IA, OK, MO, WI, AR, IL, KS, MN, NE, SD, ND, and CO
- About 2 loads a week, 3–5 stops per route
- Roughly 1,500 miles weekly
- Home weekly for your 34-hour reset
- Early AM deliveries mean night driving is part of the routine, along with your required 10-hour break before unload
- Weekend and holiday runs come up occasionally
New drivers go through a paid ride-along week after orientation, riding with an experienced driver at $150/day.
Pay breakdown:
- Flat $0.75 CPM, no experience tiers
- $1.18/mile all-in once accessorial and stop pay are factored in
- $285 per full trailer unload, $20 per stop, $50 per backhaul
- Drivers average $1,825/week, about $95k a year
What we re looking for:
- Solid customer service skills and patience, you ll be interfacing with people regularly
- Physically able to handle live unloads
- Fine working in hot or cold extremes
- Open to nights, weekends, and holidays as they land in your schedule
- Secure parking available for home-time, gated property, camera, or guard coverage. Retail lots or other unsecured spots won t work
- Come to orientation with two weeks worth of supplies packed
Sign-on bonus – $2,500 total:
1st load $500, 30 days $500, 60 days $250, 90 days $250, 120 days $250, 150 days $250, 180 days $500. You ll need to be actively driving with us on each payout date to collect.
On top of that: 24/7 support staff, plus paid vacation that builds from 1 week after year one up to 4 weeks by year ten.
