Essential Duties:
* Ensure that all clients and patients are screened for insurance eligibility.
* Promote and explain the Affordable Care Act.
* Engage with the community and collaborate with all community-based agencies.
* Conduct outreach in the community and attend health fair events.
* Must have the ability to explain the process for enrolling in Medicaid, Essential Plans, Child Health Plus, and Qualified Health Plans.
* Demonstrate compassion and be sensitive to working with low-income and ethnic minority community members.
Qualifications:
* New York State of Health Application Counselor Certification.
* NYS valid driver's license.
* Experience with customer service.
* Computer literacy is required.
