We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Equipment Operator to operate a Mi-Jack crane in our prestressed concrete production plant. This role is critical in supporting the movement, staging, and loading of large precast concrete products.
Key Responsibilities- Safely operate a Mi-Jack rubber-tired gantry crane to lift, transport, and position precast concrete beams and other large componentsli>
- Inspect equipment daily to ensure proper functioning and report maintenance needs.
- Work closely with production, quality control, and shipping teams to meet production schedules and loading requirements.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including PPE use and equipment lockout/tagout.
- Assist with rigging and signaling as needed to ensure safe and efficient crane operation.
- Perform basic maintenance and housekeeping in work areas.
- Prior experience operating Mi-Jack cranes or similar heavy equipment is strongly preferred.
- Experience in a precast or prestressed concrete plant is a plus.
- Knowledge of rigging and load balancing techniques.
- Ability to read and follow load charts, lifting plans, and work instructions.
- Strong safety mindset and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to work outdoors in varied weather and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Full-time, typically Monday through Friday (10–12-hour days), occasional weekends as production demands.
