Entry-Level Plant Maintenance Technician

Mack Industries is seeking an Entry-Level Plant Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance Team in Mount Vernon
. This position is responsible for assisting with the maintenance, repair, installation, and preventive maintenance of production equipment and facility systems to help keep operations running safely and efficiently.

• Perform preventative maintenance on plant equipment and facility systems
• Assist with repairs and troubleshooting on production equipment
• Respond to equipment breakdowns in a timely manner to minimize downtime
• Work independently or alongside experienced maintenance team members to complete repairs and projects
• Follow all safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and lockout/tagout procedures
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Document completed maintenance tasks and track parts and equipment usage
• Perform routine facility maintenance as needed
• Assist with welding, torch cutting, fabrication, and other maintenance duties when applicable
• Willingly support other departments and operations as needed
• Continue developing maintenance and troubleshooting skills through hands‑on training

• High school diploma or GED required
• Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of hand tools and power tools
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
• Willingness to learn industrial maintenance, fabrication, and basic electrical troubleshooting

• Industrial maintenance experience
• Experience working in manufacturing or industrial facilities
• Electrical troubleshooting experience

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
• Must be able to stand, walk, climb, kneel, squat, and remain active throughout the workday
• Ability to work in seasonal weather conditions and industrial environments with varying levels of noise, dust, and dirt
