Overview
The primary job function of a material handler is to move, store, and manage materials efficiently and safely within the facility to support production, storage, and distribution operations.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the receipt of all finished products
- Safely operate all material handling equipment including forklifts and/or pallet movers
- Support the materials handling process for production related materials
- Daily monitor all lines, anticipate, and supply each line with all materials (including raw materials, boxes, poly bags, pallets, etc.) that will be needed throughout the shift
- Interact with machine operators on a daily basis in order to be able to anticipate any needs that they may have
- Maintain an orderly and organized warehouse
- Develop, revise, and review documentation for all materials related activities
- Weighs pallets and scrap when applicable
- Unload, load trucks, or stage trucks as necessary, or directed by the supervisor
- Examines finished pallets before pickup and distributes materials
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screen
- Work overtime as required
- Satisfactorily completes training courses as determined by management
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation
