Join Our Team as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) – Focus on Obstetrics and General Surgery
Are you a skilled and dedicated CRNA looking to make a meaningful impact in a rural healthcare setting? We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to provide top-tier anesthesia care at a small, community-focused hospital.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to work independently while enjoying strong support from a team of anesthesiologists and clinical staff, all within a rewarding environment that values your expertise.
In this position, you will handle a variety of cases, primarily obstetrics and general surgery, with a patient volume of around 5-6 starts daily. Expect to manage approximately 30-40 deliveries per month, contributing significantly to maternal and surgical patient outcomes. The work schedule includes five 8-hour day shifts weekly, with six night call shifts per month on a 3-month block schedule, with opportunity to extend.
The hospital provides lodging, minimizing logistical concerns so you can focus on delivering exceptional patient care.
Required Skills:
- Valid and current CRNA certification and state licensure
- Proven experience in obstetric anesthesia and general surgical procedures
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage a diverse case load effectively
Skills:
- Experience in rural or community hospital settings
- Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS
- Basic proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Familiarity with obstetric emergencies and specialty procedures
Education and Experience:
- Graduate of accredited nurse anesthesia program
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a CRNA, preferably in obstetrics or rural healthcare environments
- Willingness to work scheduled shifts and night call rotations
- Practice adherence to all hospital protocols and anesthesia safety standards
- Ability to obtain and maintain required hospital privileges within 30-45 days
- Reliable transportation and readiness to work in a rural setting
- Hourly Pay Rate: $222.30
