Supervisor Registered Nurse – Night Shift

• Supervise nursing care provided by registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and certified nursing assistants.
• Review and implement all nursing procedures and systems.
• Assess and evaluate systems that facilitate the delivery of quality resident care and staff performance.
• Use a systematic approach in the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care.
• Contribute to residents’ assessment (MDS/CAA’s) and develop a plan of care.
• Develop a plan of care based on assessment and implement nursing care.
• Evaluate residents’ responses to nursing interventions.
• Understand the rationale for the effect of medications and treatments and correctly administer them.

• Certificate, license, or registration as an ADN or BSN.
• Current state license to practice as a nurse (RN).
• Current CPR certification; additional certification in a nursing specialty desired.
• Management or supervisor experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing desired.
• Demonstrated knowledge of basic nursing practice with an interest in gerontological nursing.
