10–12 Hour APP Shifts

Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking experienced Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants for a long-term locum tenens opportunity in Mount Vernon, Ohio.
This is a well-supported community Emergency Department offering a highly recruitable combination: 10–12 hour APP shifts, approximately 25,000–26,000 annual ED visits, 24-hour physician coverage, and 22 hours of APP coverage each day. Monday–Friday
- 9:30 AM – 9:30 PM
- 1:30 PM – 1:30 AM
- 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- 2:30 PM – 12:30 AM
Clinical Scope & Practice Environment
Join a community Emergency Department where NPs and PAs work alongside continuous physician coverage while independently evaluating and managing patients within their scope of practice.
The role includes:
- Independent patient evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment
- Emergency and acute-care presentations across the ED
- 17 ED beds
- Approximately 25K–26K annual encounters
- 24-hour physician coverage
- Substantial daily APP coverage for a collaborative practice environment
- Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- For NPs: FNP or ACNP certification
- Appropriate graduate-level education from an accredited program
- Ohio license required or ability to obtain
- Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care experience preferred
- BLS, ACLS and PALS required
- DEA required
- NRP required for credentialing
- Ability to independently evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients within applicable scope of practice
