Pay rate for this position is based on experience.

• Assist residents in their transportation needs by driving passenger buses to and from activities and destinations, ensuring the safety of all passengers.
• Drive daily and weekly route schedules as well as special requests.
• Assist residents with loading and unloading the bus: operate lift, carry residents’ belongings, open and close walkers and wheelchairs, carry oxygen tanks and follow basic instructions and precautions in their use.
• Run errands for events and community as requested.
• Conduct periodic checks of bus operation, including fuel, oil, wipers, fluids, lights, etc.
• Maintain cleanliness of the bus, ensuring interior and exterior are clean, vacuumed, and free of garbage.
• Maintain logs and records pertaining to vehicle service.
• When no transportation is needed, assist in the Activities Department.

• Applicant must be a driver in good standing and able to pass a background check with the insurance provider.
• Must have at least 1 year of experience driving a bus; prior experience working with seniors preferred.
