Integrative Foot & Ankle Centers of Washington is dedicated to helping people of all ages and lifestyles get back to enjoying the activities they love. This part‑time Patient Services Coordinator position will answer a high volume of calls, provide excellent customer service, and provide support to the practices. The role will be primarily based in our Mount Vernon office.
Duties and Responsibilities- Answers a high volume of calls and schedules appointments for all patients with a high degree of accuracy
- Communicates clearly on the phone and accurately documents and assigns messages
- Confirms and updates contact information for all patients at every contact
- Makes follow‑up calls for any messages left
- Documents appointment visit status, including rescheduled, cancelled, confirmed, left voice message, or any other status appropriately
- Delivers all communications with excellent customer service
- Be courteous and professional for all patient interactions
- Routes calls to appropriate staff for swift resolution
- Strong computer skills, including basic keyboarding skills
- Ability to navigate through patient records systems
- Ability to analyze situations, prioritize, develop solutions, and make recommendations
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent customer service and communication skills over the telephone
- Ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with patients
- Excellent organizational and problem‑solving skills
- Knowledge of medical practice terminology
- Patient‑focused with the ability to work independently
- Capability to adapt quickly and thrive in a fast‑paced environment
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in fast‑paced scheduling or call center
- 1+ years of customer service experience
- Minimum of 2 years in a healthcare position preferred – but willing to train the right individual!
- Good verbal and written communication skills
