Barrow Neurological Institute (BNI) in Phoenix, Arizona, is a focused neuroscience institute and internationally recognized leader in neurology, neurosurgery, and neuroradiology. Barrow has a traditional tripartite academic mission of providing patient-centered patient care, training the next generation of physician leaders, and conducting clinically relevant research. Drawing patients from the entire United States, Mexico, Canada, and worldwide, BNI has 13 subspecialties in Neurovascular and Stroke disorders, Epilepsy, Headache, Sports Neurology and Traumatic Brain Injury, Neuro-Ophthalmology, Neuro-Oncology, Neuro-Otology, Movement disorders, Neuromuscular diseases, Alzheimer’s disease and Cognitive disorders, Neurocritical Care, Neuroimmunology, Neuroendocrinology, and Sleep.

Our neurologists work closely with over 30 neurosurgeons and 30 PhD and MD scientists in a facility that is uniquely state-of-the-art. All BNI faculty hold academic title appointments with University of Arizona College of Medicine Phoenix and Creighton University School of Medicine.

Barrow Neurological Institute's Alzheimer’s and Memory Disorders Division is a growing division with substantial extramural research funding and an active clinical trials portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with a diverse and medically complex patient population in collaboration with an experienced, highly skilled, and comprehensive team of four neurological specialists. The program emphasizes comprehensive care for patients and care partners of Alzheimer’s and related disorders and includes a dedicated cognitive health advisor team, nursing staff, medical assistants, and program director.

Duties include outpatient clinical care, occasional in-patient consultation, with emphasis on teaching neurology trainees, and participation in clinical trials.

Applicants must have an M.D., M.D. / Ph.D., D.O., be Board certified/Board eligible in Neurology by ABPN and successfully completed Fellowship training in cognitive disease (Geriatric Neurology or Behavioral Neurology). Ability to obtain a state of Arizona medical license at time of employment. BNI academic rank and track will match applicant’s qualifications.
