Skagit Valley College is accepting applications for associate faculty to teach for the Professional Technical Department for the 2026/2027 academic year. The purpose of posting this position is to build a pool of qualified instructors interested in teaching Business and Management classes. This Associate Faculty position will instruct students seeking their degree in bachelor's degree in management, but may also be assigned to associate-level classes in programs such as Business Management and Data Analytics, depending on needs and skillsets.
In coordination with other program faculty, Associate Faculty are essential to developing and delivering curriculum tailored to each course's specific needs and that directly support program learning outcomes. The Bachelor's in Management program covers a wide range of topics, from Marketing, Law, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Project Management and Operations, Story Telling and Data Analytics using innovative techniques for instruction and cohort and community engagement.
The program attracts students who aspire to leadership roles in a diverse range of profit and not-for-profit sectors, including finance and banking, educational administration, community health and services, healthcare management, retail management, hospitality, and manufacturing.
As an Associate Faculty member, you will collaborate with department colleagues to create and implement innovative curriculum designed to prepare students with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed as leaders in the 21st century workplace.
