Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled professional to serve as a School Psychologist in a supportive school setting located in Mount Vernon, WA. This contract position offers the chance to apply your expertise in psychological assessment, counseling, and intervention to support the academic and emotional success of students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' learning and behavioral needs.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide targeted interventions.
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students to promote mental health and well-being.
  • Assist in developing school-wide programs that enhance positive behavioral supports and facilitate a safe learning environment.
  • Support compliance with legal and ethical standards related to special education and student services.

Experience:
  • Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
  • Strong understanding of psychological assessment tools and educational interventions.
  • Experience working within school environments and familiarity with special education processes.
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases while maintaining detailed records and confidentiality.
