Performance Responsibilities and Essential Functions- Plan and provide clear, intentionally focused, evidence‑based instruction aligned with state standards, district curriculum, and student needs.
- Participate in collaborative planning, programming, and instructional activities to improve practices and student learning.
- Recognize individual student strengths and needs, developing strategies and interventions to promote achievement.
- Use multiple student data elements to assess progress, modify instruction, and enhance learning.
- Integrate technology to support digital literacy and engagement.
- Communicate and collaborate with parents and the school community to foster student success.
- Foster and manage a safe, positive learning environment to promote effective behavior and success.
- Maintain and submit required information and records, including student progress.
- Participate in meetings to implement school initiatives and address student needs.
- Attend all relevant professional development and training opportunities.
- Comply with supervision and evaluation procedures.
- Direct work of assigned classified staff, if applicable.
- Implement district policies and the Code of Professional Conduct.
- Maintain consistent attendance and conform to regular work hours specified in the contract.
- Fulfill other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
– Minimum Qualifications
- Knowledge of Washington State and federal rules and regulations.
- Knowledge of relevant subject matter, course content, and instructional strategies.
- Knowledge of formative and summative assessments and state mandated testing.
- Ability to meet a wide range of academic and social needs, including at‑risk, culturally diverse, English language learners, and special education students.
- Skills in planning and implementing lessons based on state standards and district curriculum.
- Skills in reflective practices for instructional improvement.
- Skills in managing and promoting positive student behavior.
- Ability to work with diverse learners, providing access and opportunities for all.
- Commitment to a diverse and inclusive working and learning environment.
- Understanding of equity, especially intersections of race, language, gender, and disability.
