The City of Mount Vernon is seeking a Permit Technician to assist citizens, contractors, and developers with the planning, building, fire, and engineering permitting process. You will collect, review, and file paperwork and respond to inquiries.
Essential duties include processing permit applications, communicating missing information, preparing documents, handling public records requests, and supporting Boards and developer groups. ICC certification within 1 year is required.
