Role Description

The Occupational Therapist is a full-time, on-site role based at Mira Vista Care Center in Mount Vernon, WA. This role focuses on evaluating patients' functional abilities and developing individualized treatment plans to support recovery and independence in a post-acute rehab setting. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing therapeutic interventions, documenting progress, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, educating patients and families on adaptive techniques and equipment, and contributing to discharge planning.

The Occupational Therapist will work closely with nursing, medical, and rehabilitation staff to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care that aligns with Mira Vista's holistic and values-driven approach.

Qualifications
  • Strong proficiency in Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation, including assessment, treatment planning, and implementation of evidence-based interventions.
  • Foundational knowledge of Medicine as it relates to post-acute care, functional recovery, and safe patient management.
  • Effective Communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members, including clear documentation and patient education.
  • Experience or interest in Pediatrics and working with diverse patient populations, where applicable to the care setting.
  • Current Occupational Therapist license in the state of Washington, or eligibility for licensure.
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining empathy, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity.
  • Basic computer skills for electronic health record documentation and familiarity with standard therapy equipment and modalities.
