Overall PurposeA highly experienced attorney with 8+ years of federal regulatory law experience, preferably before and/or with the Federal Communications Commission or Federal Trade Commission, provides strategic legal counsel, and manages complex legal matters, with a focus on federal telecommunications regulation and privacy law, to ensure compliance, protect the organization’s interests, and further its strategic initiatives.
KeyRoles and Responsibilities
- Managing Complex Legal Matters: Oversee and manage complex legal projects, including litigation, government enforcement investigations, and regulatory compliance, with an emphasis on compliance and investigations pertaining to federal telecommunications and privacy law.
- Providing Strategic Counsel: Offer expert legal and policy advice and guidance to senior leadership and company managers on a wide range of legal and policy issues, including issues concerning the intersection of technology and regulation.

Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards, and design and implement risk management strategies. - Team Leadership and Internal Operations: Mentor and work with a team of experienced legal professionals, and help manage part of the internal operations of the Law Department.
An industry-recognized regulatory expert, developing resolutions for critical issues. Innovates and implements company-wide technologies and/or processes to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and laws. As a senior strategic advisor, their actions have long-term effects on company success. Works autonomously, engaging with senior leaders and often serving as an external spokesperson. Excellent written and oral advocacy skills. Typically reports to Senior Management or a General Attorney.

Requires a law degree and an active license in good standing to practice law in assigned state. 8+ years of related experience.
SalaryAVP Senior Legal Counsel earns between $231,700 - $347,500 USD Annual. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
