Job Summary

The Program Manager of the Mosaic Center will manage and execute mosaic initiatives such as HBCUs for Advertising and the Most Promising Students Program (MPS), while maintaining strong faculty engagement and strategic partnerships. The Program Manager will focus on fostering connections between diverse college students and faculty with advertising industry leaders and creating pathways for career readiness and professional development in the advertising, marketing, media, and communications fields.

  • Recruit and onboard HBCUs for AAF College Chapter membership.
  • Provide ongoing support and relationship management with HBCU faculty and student members.
  • Enhance annual member benefits, engagement and resources offered to align with industry trends and student needs.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Vice President to coordinate sponsor engagement and activation with HBCU chapters.
  • Organize the MPS application process and manage the judging panel. Coordinate deadlines and expectations in partnership with EVP.
  • Work with sponsors to procure immersion visits, content and recruitment opportunities.
  • Provide onsite support managing transportation, event setup, and other logistical needs.
  • Organize submission and survey selection processes and event logistics for Mosaic
    10.
  • Manage Mosaic 10 presenter confirmations, event logistics and day-of execution as needed.
Communication & Relationship Management

Provide support to the Mosaic Voice Council:

  • Schedule monthly meetings for Council.
  • Responsible for taking meeting minutes and sharing with the Council and EVP.
  • Assisting Council members with fulfillment of annual goals as requested.
Administrative and Operational Support
  • Collaborate with Member Services to address student membership updates and resolve program-related needs.
  • Maintain and update the Most Promising alumni database.
  • Monitor program budgets and expenses, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Assist with reporting and tracking key metrics for all academic programs.
  • Provide support with all department programs as requested by EVP.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Industry Expertise: Strong understanding of the advertising, marketing, and media industries, with the ability to align academic programs to industry trends. Knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles, particularly in higher education and the advertising landscape. Familiarity with the dynamics of academia, including faculty engagement, curriculum development, and supporting student success.
  • Program Management

    Skills:

    Experience managing academic programs, including logistics, stakeholder engagement, and event coordination. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with faculty, students, and industry partners.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CRM/database tools (iMIS preferred). Familiarity with event management platforms (Eventbrite Preferred), Open Water, Squarespace and digital collaboration tools.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on clarity and relationship building. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Organizational

    Skills:

    Proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing needs and deadlines.
  • Flexibility and Travel: Willingness and ability to travel approximately 25-30% of the time (an average of two weeks per quarter) to support Mosaic Center programs and events.
