We’re seeking a dynamic, mission-driven leader to serve as our Director of Community Resources. This is a unique opportunity to shape strategy, strengthen programs, support teams, and advance services that create meaningful impact for individuals and families throughout our community.
As a key member of the Core Management Team, you’ll provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for Community Resource programs while fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. You’ll help align programs with agency priorities, strengthen partnerships, support effective service delivery, and lead initiatives that advance our mission to end poverty in Skagit County.
We’re seeking an experienced leader who has successfully developed, managed, and overseen social service programs while building strong teams and fostering meaningful community partnerships. The ideal candidate brings a broad leadership perspective, with the ability to connect efforts across programs, support staff growth, and lead initiatives that create lasting impact. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about equity, committed to providing accessible and welcoming services, and believes that how we work together is just as important as the work we do.
This is a full-time, salaried-exempt position dedicated to expanding opportunity and strengthening our community.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Community Resources provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the agency’s Community Resource programs, including WIC, Energy, Food Distribution Center, Mobility & Senior Services, and Education & Employment. The Director ensures effective program operations, promotes alignment and integration across departments, and advances agency-wide strategic initiatives. As a member of the Core Management Team, this position contributes to organizational planning, decision-making, and the resolution of agency-wide issues.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
Oversee, develop and monitor all aspects of assigned programs and service areas to maximize positive impact and alignment with our agency mission.Provide strategic direction, leadership, and messaging for community resource programs that promote high-quality, customer-centered services that are welcoming, impactful, and accessible to the communities we serve.Supervise assigned staff and provide training, coaching, and support to build competency,accountability, customer service, management and project management skills.Work with program staff to align and integrate program services with other agencyprograms.Collaborate with CSO to identify long-term trends to inform strategy and direction, improveoperations, financial stability and succession planning; ensure results-orientedmanagement and accountability.Work with programs and finance to provide financial oversight on program budgets andpursue financial sustainability opportunities for each program.Work with managers and finance on contract RFP processes, budgeting, implementation,compliance, and monitoring requirements.Serve or ensure representation and active participation/leadership in key local andstatewide coalitions related to service areas.Represent the Agency through active community engagement and by developing and fostering partnerships with nonprofit organizations, businesses, civic groups, chambers ofcommerce, and other community partners.Provide regularly scheduled board reports and reports required by grant or program guidelines.Ensure result-oriented accountability by supporting managers in setting and trackingannual objectives and key results.Promote a healthy, transparent, professional, and kind work environment.Advance equitable and inclusive practices by fostering a welcoming environment, engagingdiverse communities, and ensuring programs, services, and organizational practices are informed by the experiences and needs of the people we serve.Serve as a member of Core Management Team, Leadership Team, and Compensation Committee.Participate in, facilitate, and lead agency meetings, trainings, workshops, conferences,committees, and strategic initiatives as assigned to…
