Machine Operator*Nights*-Hour Shifts

Job Overview

Machine Operator – Night Shift (7:00p.m.–7:00a.m.), 12‑hour shifts. Training may occur during days or nights, but all qualified positions are night shifts. Overtime on weekends is required. Night differential of $2.00 per hour.

• Set up and operate cheese‑processing machines for major restaurants and retailers.
• Monitor equipment and perform quality checks to meet customer requirements.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices, food safety and quality procedures, including CP, CCP, QP, and CQP checks.
• Implement reaction plans for food safety, quality and customer deviations.
• Wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, hair net, boots, glasses) and follow all safety guidelines.
• Maintain a satisfactory attendance record and arrive on time.
• Work flexible overtime as needed to meet production schedules.
• Assist with other general labor duties within the plant as required.
• Perform manual tasks such as inspection, rework and sort operations.
• Serve as a team member, supporting plant policies and procedures.

• Must be able to read and write English.
• High school diploma or equivalent; basic math, counting and calculator skills.
• Strong work ethic; dependable attendance; punctual.
• Ability to work weekends, off‑shifts, and overtime.
• Capability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds and reach shoulder height.
• Basic computer skills.
• Forklift driving skills may be required (trainable).
• Willingness to learn Process Excellence and other company tools.

• Stand for up to 12 hours per day.
• Walk up to 50 minutes per hour.
• Move or lift up to 50 pounds up to 4 times per hour.
• Climb steps or ladders occasionally.
• Work in cold, hot or wet environments up to 12 hours per day.
• Perform bending, squatting, twisting for up to 15 minutes per hour.

• Salary starts at $23.58/hour, 24‑month top out $27.77/hour, plus $2.00 night differential.
