We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Process Automation Technician to join our team. This is a night shift position where you will be playing a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and troubleshooting our automated systems and equipment, working closely with other team members to meet production goals and standards.
Responsibilities- Perform periodic checks of machine process parameters and recipes to ensure optimal performance and quality.
- Troubleshoot nonstandard events on the production line, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventative measures.
- Lead the Apollo process to resolve complex nonstandard problems, exercising informed and analytical judgment, and showing initiative.
- Collaborate with other team members to improve efficiency, quality, and safety of the production line.
- Ensure all automated systems and equipment are in compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new automation processes and improvements.
- Provide training and guidance to other team members on automation systems and equipment.
- AA Degree or higher in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
- Proficient knowledge in PLC, HMI, electro‑pneumatic, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical wiring, vision systems, VFDs, and chemical processes.
- Strong understanding of OCAPs.
- Proven experience troubleshooting and resolving nonstandard events on the production line.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to make informed decisions quickly.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to lead processes and guide team members.
- Ability to work night shifts and adapt to changing work schedules.
