The Role

Remote opportunity! You can be located anywhere in the US but must be willing and able to travel and be open to future relocation.

This is a growth role offering the unique opportunity to manage the day-to-day operations of the Waterworks Inside Sales channel by leading a team of tenured remote inside sales consultants who manage client relationships and drive sales in US locations where the company does not have showroom presence. Day to day the Sales Manager influences, leads, develops and coaches the sales team in order to generate sales, and will be accountable for exceeding established revenue generation goals, and ensuring the channel’s book of business is profitable.

In this role, you will develop new business within the market and will be the trusted resource to the client, recommending solutions while providing the highest level of service, integrity and professionalism. Accountable for developing and building strong partnerships with the top clients to increase the amount of business received from them and to provide the excellent experience and service they have come to expect.

Manages the day-to-day operations of the channel including but not limited to: scheduling, staffing, inventory, client escalations.

The Sales Manager will be bench for Showroom leadership, working on special projects and providing interim showroom management coverage as needed. Learn Waterworks sales leadership model, products, and clients. Ability to travel up to 50% of the time and relocatable is essential.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Through outside marketing, social media, in-office and virtual client presentations, and other avenues; cultivate and grow relationships with trade clients in the territory covered by the Direct channel
  • Works with Manager to manage profit and loss responsibility by setting strategies for the channel to improve overall performance and firmly position Waterworks as the industry leader for bath products in covered territories
  • Manage the Direct sales team working on a phone queue
  • Coaches Sales Consultants in new business development and manages key accounts and projects as needed
  • Investigate and lead the implementation of innovative ways to proactively market Waterworks products
  • Managing queue performance and coverage, assisting with reporting on key metrics:
    Load balancing inbound calls, meeting abandon call targets, reporting on average call time, inbound calls.
  • Listening in on queue calls to look for coaching opportunities
  • Works with sales leadership to implement any new technologies as necessary (chat, Trade Login, etc)
  • Empower associates to resolve client issues and implement solutions
  • Effectively and confidently pitch the Waterworks’ line to clients both in person and virtually using technology
  • Attend industry events/ popup shops in covered markets to cultivate new business
  • Drive sales efforts by role modeling professional phone greeting, qualifying and assisting clients
  • Provide hands-on support for sales consultants including answering phones, responding to leads and closing deals; help with CRM and pipeline management
  • Provide reporting for Direct sales channel (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly & Annually)
