Field Mechanics are responsible for repairing, diagnosing, inspecting and maintaining various types of forestry and other earthmoving equipment, primarily servicing rentals and customer‑owned equipment. Our ideal mechanic has 3-5 years’ experience in electrical, hydraulics and computer‑controlled systems, drivetrain, & engines; communicates effectively and professionally to customers, supervisors and vendors; can drive a company vehicle to/from company locations and job sites; be on call;

be able to lift up to 50 lbs.; technicians from all certification levels will be considered.

• Positive customer service and communication skills
• Competent using laptop computer and scan tools as part of diagnostic trouble‑shooting
• Self‑motivating. Capable of completing tasks without direct supervision
• Possess safe work habits, with a “can do” job completion attitude
• Maintains a great attitude toward work, & enjoys being part of a team
• Able to read schematics (both electrical and hydraulic)
• Knowledgeable in troubleshooting various heavy equipment product lines
• Required to have your own hand tools up to 1 ½ inch
• Perform thorough and accurate annual inspections
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required
• Able to pass a drug screen
• Valid Washington Driver’s License, CDL endorsement is required

• Factory, vocational, or mechanical training is a plus
• History of working with different forms of heavy equipment, specifically cranes, excavators and forestry equipment

Wages for this position are $32.00 to $43.00 per hour.
