, a Clean Harbors company, is looking for a Field Technician based in Mt. Vernon, WA to work at various customer locations. This role focuses on water treatment systems, pipeline hydrostatic testing, and hydroblasting equipment.
Open to transitioning military personnel seeking to leverage skills as they return to civilian life.
Work EnvironmentIndustrial settings such as refinery, petro‑chemical, utilities, pulp and paper mills, etc.
ExperienceExperience with hydroblasting equipment is a plus but not required.

- Monday – Friday (must be available to work overtime any day of the week)
- Ensure health and safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
- Hands‑on operation of manual and automated hydroblasting equipment.
- Operate special equipment such as ultra high‑pressure pumps, vacuum trucks, and cutting equipment.
- May be required to examine surfaces cleaned to ensure conformance to company and customer expectations.
- Conduct routine and required maintenance on equipment and peripherals, including industrial vacuuming equipment and the disposal of hazardous and non‑hazardous materials.
- Perform routine maintenance on company equipment used on the job.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- English language proficiency to comprehend safety training and respond to instructions in emergency situations.
- Knowledge of emergency equipment such as fire extinguishers.
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Valid driver's license (preferred).
- Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC) – required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently.
- Must be able to wear protective clothing or equipment (Nomex coveralls, back belt, slicker suits, rubber boots, fresh‑air breathing mask & escape pack, hard hat).
- Must be able to work under extreme climate conditions (high heat index, humidity, subzero weather).
- Must be able to withstand exposure to dust, chemicals, fumes, exhaust, and highly pressurized fluids.
- Physical stamina: walk long distances, stand for extended periods, climb ladders or scaffolding, lift up to 60 lbs.
