Senior Backend API Engineer

• API Gateways & Governance (Rate limiting, Throttling, Monitoring)
• OWASP API Security / Encryption (TLS/SSL)

We're looking for an experienced Backend API Developer to help build and evolve a portfolio of secure, scalable APIs powering mission-critical business platforms. If you enjoy designing high-performance services, solving complex integration challenges, and embedding security into every stage of development, we'd love to connect.

• Design, develop, and enhance secure APIs and backend services built for scale, reliability, and flexibility.
• Implement modern security practices including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, encryption standards, rate limiting, and secure integration patterns.
• Own the API lifecycle—from architecture and development to deployment, monitoring, optimization, and governance.
• Drive engineering excellence through code reviews, testing, vulnerability assessments, and well-maintained technical documentation.

• 3+ years of experience building and supporting production-grade APIs and backend application.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python, Node.js, and SQL.
• Expertise with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, TLS/SSL, and secure data handling.
• Experience with API gateways, monitoring, logging, alerting, and third-party integration.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture on AWS (preferred), Azure, or GC.
• Exposure to GraphQL, CI/CD, Dev Sec Ops  practices, and OWASP API Security Top 1.
• Additional programming experience in C#, Java, or Go is a plus.
