We are looking for a motivated, positive individual to provide specialized services for Mt. Washington Middle School in relation to parents and/or the community at large.
MWMS has an opening for Clerical Assistant that could be combined with this position to increase your hours per day and make you full-time and eligible for benefits. If interested, please be sure to apply for that posting as well.
Position DetailsHours: 3 hours per day
Contract Length: 177 days per year
- 170 school days
- 7 planning days
Contract Adjustments: Contracted days will be prorated based on the start date
Employment Status: Part-time (not eligible for benefits unless combined with another position)
Employment Type: 10-month employee on the classified pay schedule
Qualifications & Requirements- Education:
- High school diploma or GED
- Documentation: Candidates must provide proof of educational requirements to HR upon recommendation for hire.
- Starting Pay (Step
0): $16.46/hour - Experienced Pay (Step 10): $17.78/hour

New hires may bring up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience.
- The hired applicant is responsible for submitting the BCPS Verification of Experience Form to prior employers for completion and return to HR.
Payroll
Note:
While this is an hourly position, the salary is distributed via a year-long contract over 10 months. You will receive 4 paychecks at the end of June.
Salary Formula:
Hours per day × Hourly rate = Daily rate. Daily rate × Contracted days = Annual salary. Annual salary ÷ Remaining pay periods = Gross biweekly pay.
