Job Summary
The Maintenance Tech is responsible for repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment. The position will be required to perform preventative maintenance as well as corrective maintenance to keep plant, equipment, machinery, and tools in good working order.
Responsibilities- Troubleshoot, repair and maintain production equipment.
- Read and understand blueprints, technical manuals and wiring diagrams to aid in troubleshooting and maintenance of machinery.
- Perform regular and preventive maintenance on equipment to eliminate unscheduled downtime.
- Maintain a variety of machines in the factory such as plasma cutting, brake press, laser, paint line, and welding machines.
- Interface with other departments to accomplish tasks.
- Maintain a clean work area as required.
- Apply all applicable safety requirements to comply with regulatory agencies.
- Report workplace hazards and incidents immediately to direct supervisor.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Stand for up to 10 hours per day.
- Operate a forklift and overhead crane.
- Other tasks as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of maintenance experience in a production environment.
- Knowledge and adherence to standard safety practices.
- Basic blueprint reading skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Own tools appropriate to the job being performed.
- Knowledge and ability to use appropriate tools related to the task.
The base hourly rate for this role is $27.00.
