Mechanicial Field Lead

Trip: 90–100% Travel Required.

• 7–10 years of material‑handling systems installation experience
• 5–7 years of experience leading small installation teams
• HS Diploma
• Proficient at reading & comprehending mechanical construction drawings
• Self‑Motivated, Detail Oriented, & Results Focused

• OSHA 30 Certified
• Experience with managing subcontractors

• Embrace, enforce, & live a superior safety culture
• Conduct weekly toolbox talks with installation resources on site
• Complete Job‑Hazard‑Analyses daily
• Lead a small team of 3–5 mechanical installers & laborers to self‑execute mechanical scopes of work for FORTNA projects
• Be able, willing, & competent to conduct installations when necessary, including field fabrications, welding and other hot‑work, rigging, conveyor assembly & erection, and other installation tasks
• Receive, unload, inventory, and QC project componentry & materials supplied by the project team
• Provide regular progress reports to leadership and project team
• Adhere to all federal, local, and customer regulations, standards, & specifications
• Manage subcontractors from both electrical & mechanical scopes of work for FORTNA projects that are opted to outsource install
