Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Louisville, KY. Weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.
Average weekly pay: $1,500 - $1,700.
- Driver positions pay weekly.
- Hourly pay: $28.00 per hour.
- Hours per week: 50+ hours, overtime after 40.
- Sign‑on bonus: $1,000 paid in two installments—50% at 30 days and 50% at 90 days.
- Safety bonus: $300 four times a year.
- Paid training.
- Schedule:
Monday – Friday. - Start time: 5:00 PM.
- Routes:
Home daily in KY, OH, IN, TN. - Tractor type:
Day cab, must be able to drive a manual. - Trailer type: 53 ft dry van.
- No‑touch freight:
Drop & hook. - Truck: 36 months or newer with 24/7 roadside maintenance; company fuel at over 800 facilities nationwide.
- Medical, dental & vision after 30 days.
- 80 hours paid time off in the first year, available day one.
- Uniforms, cell phone & boot allowance provided.
- Drivers are the captain and make safety decisions; your job is protected.
- 401(k) rollover available now with company match at 1 year.
- 12 weeks paid maternity leave (subject to eligibility criteria, including tenure).

- Minimum 21 years of age.
- Pass a Ryder drug test.
- Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last three years.
- Pass a DOT physical.
- Pass a Ryder road test.
- Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
- Must have verifiable Class A experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle:
- ≥ 9 months within the past 3 years, or
- ≥ 2 years within the last 5 years, or
- ≥ 5 years within the last 10 years.
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
- Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check, a road test, and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.
Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards and guidelines.
- Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs.
- Load/unload freight or assist in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
