Class A CDL Driver

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Louisville, KY. Weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

Average weekly pay: $1,500 - $1,700.

• Driver positions pay weekly.
• Hourly pay: $28.00 per hour.
• Hours per week: 50+ hours, overtime after 40.
• Sign‑on bonus: $1,000 paid in two installments—50% at 30 days and 50% at 90 days.
• Safety bonus: $300 four times a year.
• Paid training.
• Schedule:
  
  Monday – Friday.
• Start time: 5:00 PM.
• Routes:
  Home daily in KY, OH, IN, TN.
• Tractor type:
  Day cab, must be able to drive a manual.
• Trailer type: 53 ft dry van.
• No‑touch freight:
  Drop & hook.
• Truck: 36 months or newer with 24/7 roadside maintenance; company fuel at over 800 facilities nationwide.
• Medical, dental & vision after 30 days.
• 80 hours paid time off in the first year, available day one.

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder drug test.
• Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last three years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Must have verifiable Class A experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle:
• ≥ 9 months within the past 3 years, or
• ≥ 2 years within the last 5 years, or
• ≥ 5 years within the last 10 years.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check, a road test, and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs.
• Load/unload freight or assist in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
