Senior Project Manager – Engineered Capital Equipment

Birmingham, AL

We are seeking a technically strong Senior Project to lead complex, engineered-to-order capital equipment projects from contract execution through delivery.

This is not a coordination role. We need a seasoned professional who understands engineering design, manufacturing execution, and commercial risk and can take full ownership of multi-million-dollar projects from day one.

We are entering a major execution phase and require immediate leadership capability.

• Full P&L accountability for projects exceeding $1M
• Executive-level customer interface
• Sales-to-engineering handoff leadership
• Interpretation and communication of technical contract requirements
• Oversight of engineering design execution
• Cross-functional coordination with procurement, manufacturing, and suppliers
• Schedule development and risk mitigation
• Financial forecasting and reporting
• Post-delivery review and warranty follow-through

• Technical experience in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related Engineering field
• 8–12+ years of experience in engineered-to-order or capital equipment manufacturing
• Demonstrated experience managing multi-million-dollar industrial projects
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Experience working within ERP-driven manufacturing environments
• Strong commercial and contract negotiation skills
• Ability to understand project accounting and financial reporting

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business.
• PMP preferred but secondary to experience and technical depth.

• Purely administrative project managers
• Construction-only PMs without equipment/manufacturing background
• Coordinators seeking advancement

Target compensation based on experience.
