Arkansas State University–Mountain Home is seeking a knowledgeable and service-oriented SQL Programmer with Server Administration experience to support the institution's enterprise information systems, data reporting, and technology infrastructure. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining SQL queries, stored procedures, and reports that support institutional operations, regulatory reporting, and strategic decision-making.
In addition to database programming responsibilities, this position assists with the administration, maintenance, security, and performance of Microsoft server environments to ensure the reliability and availability of institutional applications.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesProven experience as an SQL programmer with a preferred focus on Banner ERP. Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL Programming and database management systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to details. Basic knowledge of server administration, including experience with Windows as well as understanding of cloud database solutions such as AWS and Azure. Excellent communications skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred skills: experience with data visualization tools is a plus. Understanding of higher education business processes and data governance.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred/ or equivalent experience in SQL programming. Preferred qualifications include the basic minimum qualification plus experience in Banner Student Information Systems and Argos reporting. Familiar with other database systems (e.g., Oracle, MySQL)
