Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) Screener

Be at the forefront of patient care. We are seeking a Registered Nurse who thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and excels in critical thinking and patient observation. As an RN Screener
, you will play a key frontline role in the Emergency Department—partnering closely with the Triage Nurse to monitor arriving patients and those in the waiting area, ensuring patient safety and supporting efficient patient flow.

We are looking for nurses who like a quickly changing work environment, which involves critical thinking. Cline Emergency Unit is a 22-bed, Level 3 designated Trauma Center. We care for a patient population that includes all ages. Our staff is a well-oiled machine that is quick to respond to any emergency. We are part of the Arkansas SAVES family for excellence in stroke care.

Several of our nurses recently became SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) certified. Our team is a vital part of our cardiovascular program. Our nurses work very closely with the physicians as they are on the unit 24/7. Our Emergency Department provides training to increase our knowledge and skills, including ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, SANE, and a multitude of trauma related education.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care for assigned patients on the nursing unit and providing leadership within the nursing team.
  • Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served, through the model of Shared Governance.
  • Collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidence based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.

Job Requirements:

  • Education:

    Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. ADN required. BSN Preferred.
  • Licensure:
    Current Arkansas or Compact State RN License in good standing.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience preferred.
  • BLS required. ACLS and PALS are required within one (1) year of employment.
  • Other:
    Ability to read, write and communicate effectively. Basic computer knowledge required.

This position is deemed safety sensitive in accordance with Arkansas Act 593 governing Medical Marijuana.
