American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab RN with AR or compact license and at least 2 years of Cath Lab experience for a 13-week day shift assignment with call requirements.

• Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab performing diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular studies
• Assist physicians with Cath Lab and Special Procedures including angioplasty, stent placement, and catheterizations
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Call required 9 to 10 days per month
• Cerner charting experience preferred

• Active AR RN license or compact license in good standing
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
• ADN required, BSN or MSN preferred
• Skills in ACT monitoring, cardioversion, EKG/ECG interpretation, and dysrhythmia management required
• Experience with sheath removal, vascular closure systems, and hemostasis techniques required
• Knowledge of antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, and emergency medications required
• Experience starting and maintaining IVs and administering procedural sedation required
• RTO must be submitted with application
• Current Nursys report required for consideration
• License must be in-hand at time of consideration

• Provide direct patient care and act as patient advocate during Cath Lab procedures
• Assist with sterilization techniques and medication administration
• Position is designated safety sensitive under Arkansas Act 593 governing Medical Marijuana
• Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening that includes marijuana testing upon arrival
• A positive drug screen result will result in automatic cancellation with no exceptions
• Candidates should avoid CBD products and other substances that could result in a positive test after clearance
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility as local candidates are not accepted
• Travel experience is highly preferred
• Required clinical modules must be completed prior to starting, or by the end of the first day if not finished beforehand
• Time spent completing modules should be communicated for timecard purposes
• Lab work must be completed within 72 hours of accepting the offer or a completion plan must be in place
