Description:
Call required, approximately 9 to 10 days per month.
Responsible for direct patient care, medications, and sterilization techniques necessary in the Cath Lab.
Act as a patient advocate while assisting the physician with procedures performed in the Cath Lab.
Perform cardiovascular studies/interventions as well as special procedure studies/interventions.
Skills needed include accessing/managing ports, accurate monitoring, and hemodynamic monitoring.
Experience with various catheterization techniques such as cardiac implant closure device and stent placement is essential.
Understanding of safety sensitivity in accordance with state regulations is required.
Must have experience with charting systems, preferably Cerner.
Daily census involves adult and geriatric patients.
Ability to communicate effectively and work in an interdisciplinary environment is vital.
Adherence to patient care protocols and guidelines is mandatory, along with a commitment to quality and safety.
