District Safety and Security Coordinator
205 day contract
Base Salary $31,980.00
Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in law enforcement - preferably in schools.
- Must be an Arkansas Commissioned School Safety Officer or be willing to complete the necessary training and certification process.
- Must be willing to participate in all required training to maintain CSSO good standing.
- Must stay up to date on all policies related to school safety.
- Patrol and monitor school campuses, parking areas, and adjacent areas for unsafe conditions, hazards, illegal acts, suspicious activities, unauthorized persons, or other safety-related conditions or activities.
- Maintain safety and security of school campus grounds and protect students, staff, and property.
- Enforce campus and district rules and regulations.
- Respond to emergency situations.
- Oversee the district crisis plans and crisis teams.
- Complete and monitor state-required site safety assessments.
- Serve as a liaison to the technology department with:
- the filtering and monitoring systems
- district surveillance camera checks and playbacks
- assisting administrators with surveillance videos
- assisting third-party security contractors during planning and installment of security-related equipment.
- Ensure compliance at all district campuses with school safety requirements.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and school resource officers.
- Complete all other duties as assigned.
