Job Summary

Perform an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, organizing, and retrieving stock in the warehouse.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Unloading trucks and checking in merchandise.
  • Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area.
  • Open bales, crates, and other containers.
  • Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing requests, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed. May also assist in counting physical inventory.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat.
  • Always organize warehouse and work areas for orderliness.
  • Wear the proper safety equipment.
  • Receives material coming into the building by vendors, customers, or other warehouses accurately and promptly.
  • Verifies the quantity and description of materials received by checking merchandise against the packing list.
  • Examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items. Appropriately report/record any discrepancies.
  • To accurately place materials on shelves, in racks or other designated storage areas in an orderly manner.
  • Attaches identifying tag or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.
  • Ensure warehouse/equipment is maintained on a regular basis.
  • Safely operate all the necessary equipment in work area.
  • To accurately identify and count stock materials as listed on the cycle count list.
  • Perform other duties, assignments and responsibilities as needed.
Competencies
  • Be able to identify products by size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Solid reading skills – must be able to read orders/match orders on shipping tickets to items picked.
  • Basic math skills and reasoning skills.
  • Certification of power‑truck equipment.
  • Ability to understand and execute instructions.
  • General understanding of the warehouse.
Qualification Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1–2 yrs. previous warehouse experience preferred.
  • Effective communication, organizational, time management mathematical skills.
  • Dependable and Reliable.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to work in non‑climate controlled environment.
  • Must be able to bend at waist and knees and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to wear proper safety equipment.
  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
  • Regularly lift and/or move objects 10–50lbs occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
  • Able to withstand temperatures in a typical warehouse environment.
  • Position may require climbing of ladders for top‑level selection.
  • This is a safety sensitive position.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions, normal office environment or factory environment that is not climate controlled. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The factory in certain areas maintains a high fiberglass and dust environment.

Personal Protective Equipment might be required in certain areas of the factory including but not limited to safety glasses, respirator, hearing protection, gloves, and protective garments.

This position performs hazardous waste management activities regulated under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA‑40 CFR 265.16) and Department of Transportation (49 CFR).
