The Clinical Nurse Educator at Arkansas State University-Mountain Home (ASUMH), located at Baxter Health, is a key position funded through the ALIGN (Arkansas Linking Industry to Growing Nurses) grant for a two-year term. This role is responsible for the onboarding and development of clinical instructors and students, ensuring a standardized and high-quality clinical experience. The Clinical Nurse Educator serves as a crucial liaison between Baxter Health and ASUMH, facilitating communication and collaboration to support the institution's mission and strategic objectives.

• Lead the orientation and training of new clinical instructors, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
• Develop and implement professional development programs to support continuous improvement in instructional practices.
• Coordinate the orientation process for clinical students, ensuring they understand their roles, responsibilities, and expectations.
• Coordinate the review of student skills assessments for students to identify and address any gaps in knowledge or skills.
• Design and implement a standardized clinical template and checklist for record keeping purposes and to ensure consistency and quality.
• Collaborate with clinical instructors and healthcare staff to integrate best practices and current industry standards.
• Monitor administratively students' technical skills development through their preceptors and clinical instructors.
• Develop competency checklists and evaluation tools to measure students' progress.
• Act as a point of contact and support for clinical instructors and students at Baxter Health. Responsible for coordinating communication between students, preceptors, clinical instructors, and administrators to address and resolve concerns in the clinical setting.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration between the hospital and the college.
• Ensure alignment of clinical education programs with the goals and standards of Baxter Health and ASUMH.

• Current LPN license in the state of Arkansas.
• Minimum of three years of clinical nursing experience, with a preference for experience in a teaching or instructional role.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in using educational technology and simulation tools.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and academic staff.
• Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students.
