The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full-Time Supervisory General Engineer GS-0801-13 to work at the 366th Civil Engineer Squadron, Mountain Home AFB,  you have experience in MILCON, FSRM, planning, programming, contract execution, and technical support, you are the perfect candidate for the job!

5+ years in General Engineering is preferred.

Salary Range: $106,991--$139,091

In this position you will serve as a professional Supervisory General Engineer exercising second level supervisory and managerial authorities over the Engineering Flight in the Civil Engineering Squadron. The Engineering Flight is responsible for providing project planning, program development, design, energy management, project management, contract execution, and technical support.

  • A current professional registration or license as a Professional Engineer or Registered Architect in one of the 50 states or territories is desired for this position.

  • Education requirements:

  • Experience in planning, organizing, and overseeing the activities of the Engineering Flight. Develops goals and objectives that integrate program development, project design, construction management, and technical support to other flights in the oversight of the Base Comprehensive Assets Management Plan (BCAMP) and Base Activity management Plan (BAMP). Monitors managed units for efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with building codes, Air Force policy, guides, and regulations.
  • Experience in exercising supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Discharges security responsibilities by ensuring education and compliance with security directives for employees with access to classified or sensitive material. Supports the agency’s EEO program through allocations of personnel to participate in community outreach and recruitment programs. Ensures full cooperation of employees with EEO office Officials.
  • Represents the Engineering Flight with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relations with other base organizations, senior leadership, representatives from Department of Defense (DoD) and other Federal agencies, and related civilian organizations regarding project/program management.
  • Establishes, defines, and implements requirements for Engineering Flight activities to ensure services and functions are in line with organizational goals and mission requirements.
  • Knowledge of a wide range of multidisciplinary professional engineering theories, concepts, principles, standards, methods, techniques, materials, and equipment, as well as knowledge of standard construction and contracting regulations, practices, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of the principle of planning and program management; common business and economic principles, theories, concepts, and procedures; financial management principles and standards; and of the DoD Planning Programing and Budgeting System (PPBS).
  • Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures.
  • Skill in evaluating state-of-the-art scientific and engineering technologies and incorporating into the planning, design, operations, maintenance, repair, and upgrade of installation natural/built infrastructure.
  • Ability to analyze, plan, organize, and direct the work operations to meet program requirements and objectives with available resources; and to mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization.
