As a Manufacturing Supervisor II at Baxter, you will supervise daily manufacturing operations across multiple areas and shifts, ensuring quality, safety, and productivity while maintaining strict compliance with GMP, FDA, and company standards.
Responsibilities- Supervise daily manufacturing operations in multiple production areas, maintaining, auditing, refining, and improving equipment and processes across shifts.
- Provide daily reports and communications on performance, issue resolution, staffing, and personnel activities.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives in Safety, Quality, and Operations.
- Maintain a positive and equitable working environment that emphasizes Baxter Shared Values—Respect, Responsiveness, and Results.
- Support and enforce Safety and Quality commitments, making decisions that uphold these standards within the area.
- Use resources and raw materials efficiently; prioritize and provide resources to meet annual operational plans and budgetary commitments.
- Facilitate and verify training for employees, including GMP, job skills, and safety programs.
- Ensure compliance with GMP rules, product documentation, specifications, SOPs, and FDA requirements.
- Conduct employee feedback, talent management, recognition, and disciplinary actions, supporting development goals.
- Submit and maintain reports related to attendance, labor, efficiency, safety, scrap, and other metrics as needed.
- Collaborate with supplier management, corporate, divisional marketing, and technical personnel.
- Represent the company during audits and conduct quality reviews.

- Manage multiple priorities within the manufacturing plant while maintaining product quality and safety.
- Travel up to 10% of the time; overtime, nights, and weekends may be required.
- BS degree required; 0–3 years manufacturing experience; 0–2 years supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to interface effectively across departments.
- Strong technical expertise in a manufacturing or technical environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a plant setting.
- Excellent professional writing skills and ability to prepare technical reports.
- Knowledge of GMPs and regulatory guidelines applicable to the medical/pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong assessment and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems involving manufacturing, quality, documentation, and personnel issues.
- Capability to collect and analyze data to drive process improvement and root‑cause/corrective actions.
- Effective communicator capable of presenting information to groups and senior management.
- May supervise multiple groups; familiarity with Trackwise 8, Maximo, POMS, and JDE preferred.
Estimated base salary: $80,000 – $100,000 annually, subject to change based on market data and relevant factors. Potential for discretionary bonuses.
