Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior Revenue Technical Accounting Manager to join our accounting team based in Sunnyvale, CA. You will be the technical subject‑matter expert on ASC 606, interface with the revenue team and external auditors, and own the technical accounting guidance and application within revenue transactions.
What you'll do- Manage all aspects of revenue cycle to ensure accurate revenue recognition under ASC 606, including updating revenue recognition policies, manuals, and procedures.
- Lead technical accounting discussions relating to revenue recognition and serve as subject‑matter expert with key stakeholders.
- Drive integration alignment, enhance accounting‑based key revenue controls, operational improvements, provide analytics to drive strategic decisions, and support system enhancements and automations.
- Review customer contracts for revenue‑recognition implications, partnering with the Sales Leadership Team on structuring transaction deals.
- Manage technical aspects of the monthly revenue close process, partnering actively with the Operational Revenue team to ensure timely completion of all close analysis and reviews.
- Work with external auditors (PwC) to ensure company revenue recognition interpretation and internal guidance are consistent with GAAP and technical pronouncements.
- Implement timely reporting and process improvements to current processes.
- Evaluate and assess technical revenue‑recognition aspects for new company‑level business models.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.
- Lead the annual and periodic evaluation of Standalone Selling Price.
- Collaborate with FP&A to align technical revenue recognition with financial forecasting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 8+ years of progressive experience, including accounting firm experience (preferably Big
4) and public companies with multiple, complex revenue streams in a high‑growth environment; multinational industry experience. - Licensed CPA required.
- Experience and in‑depth knowledge of revenue accounting related to multi‑element arrangements with strong application knowledge of ASC 606.
- Ability to conduct technical accounting research and document findings.
- Excellent communication skills; ability to collaborate across all levels to drive sound business decisions.
- Ability to present information confidently and accurately to various levels of internal management and external auditors.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and high‑pressure situations, problem‑solving and multi‑tasking effectively.
- Strong knowledge of SOX requirements, including assessing, developing and implementing internal controls.
- Experience with large ERP systems (Net Suite).
$161,000 – $191,000 USD per year. Final salary offer will be based on skills, education, work location and experience; may include bonuses consistent with Ceribell’s corporate compensation plan.
