Job Title:
Accountant
Job Type: Contract, with potential for direct-hire
Contract Length: 6 months to 1 yr
Location:
Sunnyvale, CA, 100% on-site
Work Schedule:
30 hrs/week
Pay Rate: $34-$36/hr.
Key Responsibilities- Manage Accounts Payable and daily accounting transactions.
- Prepare monthly journal entries and support the month-end close process.
- Maintain prepaids, fixed assets, and account reconciliations.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other balance sheet accounts.
- Assist with financial reporting and maintain accurate accounting records.
- Help improve accounting processes and internal controls.
- Collaborate with leadership on day-to-day financial operations.
- Perform other accounting duties as assigned.
- 3+ years of General Accounting experience.
- Accounts Payable experience (preferred) or Accounts Receivable experience.
- Experience with , Divvy, Veracross, and/or Xero Cloud software (nice-to-have).
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Mission-driven nonprofit organization with meaningful impact.
- Ownership of core accounting functions in a high-visibility role.
