Accounts Payable Specialist
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing invoices, maintaining vendor records, and supporting timely payments while using Net Suite to manage daily accounts payable activities. In a mid-sized company, this role often works closely with procurement, accounting, and operations teams to ensure accurate coding, approvals, and reporting. Knowledge of systems such as Oracle Net Suite is commonly valued for finance and accounting professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Review, code, and enter vendor invoices into Net Suite in an accurate and timely manner.
- Match invoices to purchase orders, receipts, and other supporting documents.
- Prepare and process payments, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies with suppliers and internal teams.
- Maintain vendor files, payment terms, and tax documentation.
- Assist with month-end close, AP aging, accruals, and reporting.
- Support internal controls and audit requests related to accounts payable transactions.
- Identify opportunities to improve Net Suite AP workflows and processing efficiency.
