About the role

Tapestry is looking for a Technical Program Manager to drive the execution and efficiency of how our Software Engineering, Product, Power System Experts, and cross functional teams work together in preparing our product development and commercialization. This role will support the day-to-day progress of our software development, align both internal and external product priorities, and proactively identify and solve problems to guide the team through the dynamic phases of product development.

This is an incredibly dynamic role and requires high cross-functional communication, organization, and planning. They are accountable for the successful implementation of TPM processes, tracking progress against product and project goals, and driving velocity, efficiency, and teamwork without burning out stakeholders. You will work across AI, energy systems, and product teams to deliver foundational capabilities for the mission.

How you will make 10X Impact
  • Program Leadership and Strategic Execution
    • Drive Velocity and Teamwork:
Foster a high-performance culture that balances workload, optimizes engineering sprints, and maximizes team efficiency and collaboration.
    • Goal Setting and Tracking:
Partner with leadership to establish clear project goals, map out work streams, and carefully track progress against a "high-bar" delivery plan.
    • Milestone Ownership:
Manage internal operations and cross-functional coordination to ensure the team consistently hits product release schedules and critical milestones.
    • Translate Customer Impact:
Deeply understand customer and commercial priorities, translating them into engineering impact to provide realistic input on timelines and technical feasibility.
  • Process, Alignment and Ownership
    • Agile Facilitation:
Lead and optimize core agile ceremonies; facilitate stand-ups, retrospectives, and cross-functional syncs to ensure continuous alignment.
    • Sprint Planning and Backlog Management:
Lead sprint planning sessions, structure meetings, and organize bugs/feature requests into a prioritized product backlog.
    • Cross-Functional Alignment:
Work closely with Engineering, Product and PSE teams to align with product and project priorities and remove blockers.
    • Process Implementation:
Responsible for the successful implementation of TPM processes within Tapestry's cross-functional teams.
  • Risk Mitigation and Navigating Ambiguity
    • Risk Mitigation:
Identify and elevate risks early, drive decision-making, and ensure the team remains focused on the highest-priority development tasks.
    • Proactive Problem Solving:
Proactively identify operational bottlenecks and create programs and processes to solve them.
    • Ambiguity Resolution:
In the absence of a clear path, the TPM must deal with ambiguity by creating the path, defining the resource map, and setting the strategy to address the challenge.
    • Stakeholder Expectation Management:
Guide the team through the learning and changes inherent in early product development, ensuring stakeholders have visibility into progress and potential shifts.
