We are seeking a Business Data Analyst V for a 12-month contract position based in Mountain View, California. In this role, you will translate complex data into actionable business insights and recommendations, working across multiple teams and source systems to drive strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities- Query, manipulate, validate, and analyze business data using SQL to support analytical workflows.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and business visualizations using Tableau to communicate data findings to stakeholders.
- Access, analyze, and interpret product, operational, or business data using Splunk.
- Translate data analysis into business insights and strategic recommendations that connect to organizational priorities and outcomes.
- Work with data from multiple teams, business units, and source systems, maintaining understanding of data definitions and business context.
- Prototype analytical solutions iteratively and prioritize initiatives based on business impact.
- Leverage generative AI or AI-enabled tools to enhance analytical workflows and efficiency.
- Required
- 3+ years of experience in business analytics, data analytics, product analytics, strategy analytics, business intelligence, partnership analytics, or a related analytical role.
- Hands‑on experience with SQL for querying, manipulating, validating, and analyzing business data.
- Hands‑on experience with Tableau for developing dashboards, reports, and business visualizations.
- Experience with Splunk for accessing, analyzing, or interpreting product, operational, or business data.
- Strong ability to translate data into business insights and recommendations.
- Experience working with data from multiple teams, business units, or source systems and understanding data definitions and business context.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to connect analytical findings to strategic priorities and outcomes.
- Preferred
- Practical experience using generative AI or AI-enabled tools to improve analytical workflows.
- Resourceful, iterative mindset with the ability to prototype solutions quickly and prioritize business impact.
