We are seeking a skilled and compassionate General Surgeon to join our El Camino Health Medical Network team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of surgical procedures, providing high-quality preoperative and postoperative care, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role requires strong clinical expertise, excellent decision‑making skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform general surgical procedures.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with surgical conditions.
- Provide preoperative assessment, patient education, and postoperative follow-up care.
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective surgical care.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records, including operative notes and patient progress reports.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to treatment planning.
- Stay current with advances in surgical techniques, technologies, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and patient safety protocols.
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an accredited General Surgery residency program.
- Board certification or eligibility in General Surgery.
- Valid medical license to practice in California.
- Strong clinical judgment, surgical skills, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Fast‑paced clinical and surgical environment.
- On‑call responsibilities required.
