K12 Learning Design Consultant; Gen AI EdTech

Duration: 6 months contract

Job Description:

This project focuses on enhancing AI-generated education tools from a pedagogical perspective to improve teaching and learning experiences globally.

• Consult with education product teams on product design to enhance teaching experiences backed by learning sciences research.
• Evaluate the quality of education products and provide recommendations from an educator’s perspective.
• Contribute to the design, development, and improvement of high-quality K12 edtech products.
• Consult with product teams developing education features and suggest improvements aligned with learning science best practices.
• Help prototype new education features, including prompt writing and editing.
• Evaluate AI tutoring systems and educational products.

• 4+ years of high school or college teaching/tutoring experience in English/language arts (reading and writing), either in-person or online.
• Experience consulting with edtech products and using GenAI tools (preferred).
• Experience conducting professional development for educators (preferred).

• Strong writing skills for a variety of audiences.
• Fluency with GSuite products, including Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
• Advanced knowledge in pedagogical principles and learning sciences research (preferred).
• Familiarity with computer science, large language models, and prompt engineering (preferred).

• College degree or equivalent in Education, Instructional Design, Computer Science, or related field.
